Looking to quench your thirst in Singapore, with spectacular views to keep your eyes occupied? Try one of these bars with incredible views of the city and the surrounding natural scenery. With some of the most incredible scenery stretching up above the Lion City, it’s hardly surprising that there are some remarkable rooftop bars.

1. Altitude

On the roof of one of the tallest skyscrapers in Singapore is the World’s Highest Alfresco Bar – 1-Altitude at One Raffles Place. This place has an amazing 360-degree view of the city, so make sure your phone’s got juice because you’ll want to Instagram everything. Cocktails are between $20 and $40, and there’s food too – we highly recommend the Bacon and Eggs Pizza, $24 for a 12”.

2. CÉ LA VI

Less than 3 kilometers away from One Raffles Place, on the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands, is another place with a view, CÉ LA VI. If you’re not staying at the Marina Bay Sands, you should at least have a drink or five there. There’s a dress code past 6 pm, so no shorts, no singlets, no flip flops. The DJs here play pretty good music and the dance floor gets pretty busy so if you’re looking for a place to show off your moves, this is it.

3. LeVel33

LeVeL33, as the name would suggest, is on the 33rd floor of the Marina Bay Financial Centre. Their title ‘The World’s Highest Urban Craft-brewery’ would then indicate that these guys brew their own booze. Yes, and yes. The view up here is amazing (as you would expect from anywhere high up in Singapore) but it’s the beer that got us here – very fresh. If you’re hanging out with someone who doesn’t drink beer, ditch them. Kidding. There’s also a good wine selection.

4. SuperTree by IndoChine

Atop the tallest SuperTree in Gardens by the Bay is a bar with a spectacular view of the CBD, Marina Bay Sands, and the ocean coastline. SuperTree by IndoChine has a huge cocktail menu and glass is between S$20 and S$30.
If you’re there with a few hungry friends, then definitely go for the SuperTree platter for S$85 (for 4 people).

5. Southbridge

An alternative to the bars on Boat Quay would be a rooftop one, and Southbridge has done a pretty good job running one. The team behind this rooftop bar also runs an Italian restaurant at the Sentosa Golf Club so they take their food and cocktail menu very seriously.

6. Loof

Although they got it, we did not come for the view. Loof opens its bar at 5 pm and drinks go cheap. As each hour passes, they add a dollar to the prices of drinks until 8 pm. Perfect place to get some drinks down without hurting the bank.

7. Smoke & Mirrors

Get experimental with your taste buds at Smoke & Mirrors. A Peking duck juice-based daiquiri, a smoky black tea tequila, and a carrot/peppercorn Martini mash-up later, we can safely say that the cocktails here are a win.

8. The Mad Men Attic Bar

The Mad Men Attic Bar may not have the best views but makes up for it with cheap drinks and live music. If you’re stuck in Singapore’s CBD during rush hour, it only makes sense to find this bar and understand this: Beers go for S$12 and cocktails are under S$20.

9. Sum Yi Tai

10. Lantern Bar

The Lantern rooftop bar at The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore derives its evocative name from Clifford Pier’s historical Chinese name of Red Lantern Pier.  The pier, the key landing point for Singapore’s early immigrants and seafarers, was lit by red lanterns that provided illumination for the shoreward journey along Marina Bay.

As per the saying, ‘two birds with one stone’, enjoy your brew alongside the beauty of the Lion City.
