d14a328206bbf247a7ea96162995a2af Despite the fact that the capital of Sarawak Kuching is a Muslim city, here one can find perhaps the greatest concentration of bars and clubs in Sarawak, which can easily delight any visitor with its music and a great assortment of drinks. And yes - alcohol here is available to everyone.

Best places to visit for pleasant evening time are located along the Kuching Waterfront and near to Warriors Monument Park. Most of the evening club life runs around popular Hilton and Holiday Inn hotels.

Cat City
Just opposite the Hilton hotel you will find "Cat City ", a club named after Kuching (translated as Cat City) It is open every day from 16:30 and rewards each guest with their double-cocktail during happy hours that last up to nine in the evening. Not only can catch the sunset on the terrace of the club or listen to live music, but also try your own skills in the karaoke.

Piccadillly Pub
This place is just perfect for those who cannot live without beer and football. People meet in "Piccadilly" to get the latest news from around the world, to discuss the best team last season and just to smoke a cigar. Locals are frequent guests here to relax. Do not be surprised if the taxi driver does not immediately understand where exactly you need to be taken, because in Kuching, among the locals this pub is called simply St Pica.

SoHo Pub
Right from its name it is already obvious that this bar has been created by those who are nostalgic for their native England. Despite the fact that "Soho" is located in Chinatown, here like in any other pub you can try excellent beer. Every evening clouds of tobacco smoke hang over the bar, and on weekends is a European disco pop. Lively and noisy atmosphere, excellent cocktails and guest DJs from different countries makes this place incredibly popular among the young tourists, local students and fashionistas.

"Grappa" is just another place for youngsters which is close to the same "Soho". A powerful sound system - the pride of the club - shakes the dance floor by the rhythms of the most popular music trends: R'n'B, Drum'n'Bass and Hip Hop. Over the long wooden bar counter you can find drinks for every taste: from the juices and non-alcoholic beer to whiskey and vodka. Sometimes face-control stands at the entrance, so to surely have some fun the upcoming night, wear jeans instead of shorts, or you just will not be accepted inside.

Havana Cafe
"Havana" located on the Jalan Tabuan Street is an ideal place for those seeking a relaxed, cozy and quiet atmosphere of the evening. If you just want to talk over another cocktail, or discuss a business deal, then here it will be especially enjoyable. Free Wi-Fi, unobtrusive lounge music and subdued light interior in shades of green - in "Havana" one can easily forget about everything and take a break from a busy day.

Kuching would not have been an Asian city, if it did not have even a single karaoke club. «Popwave» is one of the best and perhaps the most popular. In separate rooms-cubicles which can fit a small company, you can sing the most popular songs of Malaysia as well as western repertoire. The cost of this fun is 15 ringgits (USD$ 5) per person.

If you were caught up with evening atmosphere and thirst for fun in the town of Miri, in the eastern state of Sarawak, then you can easily have fun here. The most popular spot is «Cheeries Berries», with two floors and live music, from disco to rock. This place is usually quite packed during Fridays and Saturdays. You can always go to the balcony of the second floor just to get away from the crowds and loud music. This is a great place to meet and chat quietly with all the regulars of this bustling place.
