731973ed990ab038874484f8f7be1304 Night life in Kuala Lumpur is just splendid! There are so many options to spend your time that you can’t simply go wrong. Hundreds of restaurants offer different menus of exotic local food as well as European dishes. Clubs are springing up and numerous cafes and coffee shops welcome customers who are just looking for a place to relax. On most of the islands the tour operators will offer you a night tour including a visit to the local night market and dinner at a restaurant with a cultural show.

As the sun sets in the evening, Kuala Lumpur reveals its other face, totally different from that of a busy vibrant city at daytime. The streets, houses, trees and even office buildings become alive in a blaze of multi-colored lights when night falls. Restaurants and bars open their doors for customers. Partygoers fill the streets and the night clubs. All the nightspots are pulsating to the beats of music. When you dip into that lively night atmosphere of Kuala Lumpur you will wish the night would never end.
Here you can easily find what meets your taste – Irish pubs, karaoke lounges, jazz clubs, expensive restaurants or just clubbing. Most of the places open only in evening and close at 1.00-2.00am. Usually there is a cover charge but it often includes a drink. In some nightspots, mostly in glamorous clubs and restaurants, they might not allow you in if you are wearing slippers, short pants and even sports shoes. Almost all pubs and restaurants have “happy hours” (usually from 5.00 till 7.00pm, some are till 9:00pm) offering discounted drinks.
The heart of entertainment life in Kuala Lumpur is located in the Golden Triangle – the intersection of Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan P. Ramlee, and down to Petronas Twin Towers. Asian Heritage Row next to Sheraton Imperial Hotel is another vibrant area. Chongkat Bukit Bintang or simply Chongkat as locals call it - has gained more and more popularity recently. In the suburbs we suggest visiting Bangsar Baru and Sri Hartamas – a favorite places of expats in Kuala Lumpur.
