UNFORGETTABLE SARAWAK
Begin in Kuala Lumpur with a smooth arrival and free evening, then fly east to Borneo and sail the Sarawak River at sunset, watching Kuching’s waterfront glow as the city drifts by.
Meet wildlife and culture in one day: witness orangutan rehabilitation at Semenggoh, then visit a Bidayuh longhouse (Anah Rais) for village life, local flavors, and stories of Dayak heritage.
Explore Bako National Park by boat and trail—home to proboscis monkeys, silvered langurs, macaques, bearded pigs, monitor lizards, sea eagles and ever-changing coastal scenery.
Fly into the heart of Mulu National Park: walk the 3-km rainforest boardwalk to Deer & Lang Caves, then at dusk marvel at the exodus of millions of bats spiraling into the sky.
Cruise upriver to Wind Cave and climb to Clearwater Cave—lace-like stalactites, rare plants, and a natural swimming spot beneath giant trees for a refreshing dip and picnic.
Finish on the Mulu Canopy Skywalk—480 meters of suspended walkway among ferns, epiphytes and lianas, offering a rare, treetop perspective on Borneo’s living rainforest.
Morning brings the quiet strength of Borneo: an orangutan steps from the trees with the calm of an elder; a longhouse door opens and you’re welcomed not as a stranger, but as a guest. The coast smells of salt and leaves; wind lifts the mangroves like a curtain.
Deep underground, limestone breathes cool stories: caverns vast enough to hush a crowd, filigree rock that looks spun from moonlight. And then—at the edge of evening—the sky blossoms with a living spiral of bats, the forest exhaling to the stars. High in the canopy, you walk level with birds and epiphytes, the earth far below and your pulse completely, happily steady.
It’s a journey that trades hurry for wonder: the logistics are gentle, the path is clear, and every day finds a new way to make you quiet—then smiling.

Departure from the hotel: between 07:45 and 08:00.
The Semenggoh Wildlife Centre is located 24 kilometers from the center of Kuching and provides visitors with an excellent opportunity to observe orangutans in their natural habitat. This center serves as a rehabilitation facility, taking in orphaned orangutans or those rescued from poachers. Rangers at the center teach the animals how to survive in the wild. More than 20 orangutans live in the forest within the boundaries of the nature reserve, and they often come to the rehabilitation center for food. The feeding platform is located in a natural amphitheater where visitors can watch the orangutans descending from the trees to eat. The center’s staff also inform guests about the methods used to conserve the orangutan population.
Departure from Semenggoh is approximately between 10:00 and 10:30. A 30-minute transfer will take you to Anah Rais Longhouse Village, located in the heart of the Padawan district. In this village of the Bidayuh tribe, you can learn about the Dayak culture, who were once headhunters. You can still see skulls in their baruk (headhouses). Kuching (Wednesday) Bako National Park (5-6 hours)
Bako National Park is one of the best places in Sarawak for observing wildlife in its natural habitat. The park is home to Borneo’s endemic proboscis monkeys, silvered langurs, long-tailed macaques, wild boars, monitor lizards, and many species of birds. The park boasts stunning flora, ranging from mangrove swamps to tropical peat vegetation, and rocky and beach vegetation. A network of well-maintained trails provides easy access to different parts of the park. Bako also features a beautiful coastline dotted with coves, bays, and beaches.
08:00: Departure from the hotel in Kuching. Travel time to Bako Village is approximately 35 minutes, followed by about 25 minutes by speedboat to Bako Park. During the boat ride, you may spot crocodiles, sea eagles, and other coastal birds. Upon arrival at the park, you can immediately start exploring the jungle and enjoying the wildlife. Return to Kuching after lunch.
It is important to note that the exact schedule depends on tides and sea conditions, and during the rainy season (November – February), this tour is not always possible due to weather conditions. The duration of the tour during the rainy season is approximately 5 hours, as it is often necessary to leave the park earlier due to rough seas.
