Redang
Part of the Redang Marine Park, off the Terengganu coast. Visibility consistently 15–25 m, the strongest reef condition on the east coast. Pasir Panjang (Long Beach) is the resort cluster; most resorts operate as bundled accommodation-plus-transfer packages.
Redang's marine park status genuinely works, fishing and coral collection are prohibited, and the reef shows it. Reef-edge snorkel from the beach reveals giant clams, parrotfish, turtles. Dive sites include Tanjung Tokong (coral slopes), Che Isa Wreck, Pulau Ling.
Resorts run March–October only. Most close November–February due to monsoon. The standard booking pattern is 3-day-2-night or 4-day-3-night package including return boat transfer from Merang Jetty (45–60 minutes). Independent bookings are possible but operationally noisier.

Redang is the right choice for clients who prioritise water clarity above amenity grade. Anantara Desaru is more polished, Datai Langkawi is more refined, but Redang's reef condition is the best on the east coast.
